Charo Chicken Bulletin
A mild incident at Charo Chicken last week prompted a compulsory catechization of one of their employees. We must set the record straight on the pricing of the elusive but oh so delicious “Charo Bowl.”
Due to a regrettable pancakes website and the even more disasterous ineptitude of their lurid staff, I was led to believe that the Charo Bowl included a regular sized beverage in the price. The portion of the online menu referenced is pictured below:
Clearly, the fact that we are discussing this issue today means that the beverage was never included and moreover an argument ensued during the food pickup process.
I took the hit that day but was sure to call back and set the record straight. So here’s the skinny:
- A Charo Bowl COMBO comes with a drink for $5.99
- The Charo Bowl ALONE comes with no drink for $5.49, $0.50 less.
Regrettably, I have lost my original receipt and will likely never know whether I was swindled by paying $6 for no drink or simply paid $5.50 and was never offered a beverage for a mere $0.50. Either way, service improvement is needed.
